These items are sorted to identify and segregate material with resale value. Items without reuse potential that may contain potentially hazardous materials are manually dismantled to remove and properly segregate the hazardous materials.

Non-hazardous devices as well as component materials are mechanically processed in our shredder to destroy the function of the original equipment and separated into specific material streams, ferrous metal, aluminum, and circuit boards.

Commodity materials are consolidated and shipped to appropriate markets; metals to local scrap markets, plastics to our plastics buyers, circuit boards to permitted metal refiners, and non-recyclable, non-hazardous materials to a municipal solid waste landfill.
